Douglas Park chose the site between their BMW and Bentley showroom as the location of the first Scottish McLaren showroom. As McLaren is such a prestigious brand, the interiors are largely controlled by McLaren’s stringent brand guidelines, however we designed the exterior as a cool, minimal, metal-clad box to show off the design of the cars.
The showroom window is made up of single vertical sheets of glass with no metal bracing or fins, and were a significant challenge so needed a glass specialist to ensure that it met McLaren’s high visual standards. The result in a minimal, 30mm thick window into a cabinet of jewel-like cars.
